The performance, closer to a living sculpture, is composed by a camp bed installed in the chapel, on which the artist sleeps, covered with a white sheet. We could see here a proposition about the often spectacular status of performance (and what we can oppose to it), especially when it accompanies art events, here a theater performance.
However, we could see more from this action than only questions about art : around the issues of refugees, precariousness, or places of asylums. We can thus guess the connection between the performance and the circular video projection of Alexandra Guffroy and Ronan Querrec of a rough sea.
La performance, proche d'une sculpture vivante, se réduit en un lit de camp installé dans la chapelle, sur lequel dort l'artiste, recouvert d'un drap blanc. S'entremêlent ici une réflexion sur le statut souvent spectaculaire de la performance (et comment s'y opposer), particulièrement quand elle accompagne des événements, ici une représentation de théâtre.
On pourrait toutefois lire dans cette action des questionnements plus étrangers au milieu de l'art, autour des questions de l'accueil des réfugiés, de la précarité, ou des lieux d'asiles. On devinera ainsi la connexion entre la performance et la vidéoprojection circulaire d'Alexandra Guffroy et Ronan Querrec d'une mer agitée.
