Diptych made during a residency at the Escuela de Artes Plasticas in San Juan (Puerto Rico). These two drawings act as an imperfect sketch of the original painting El pan nuestro da cada día, in which the character of the famous painting of the history of Puertorican art is replaced by avatars of American culture. The pencil is chosen instead of the oil painting, leaving the hypothetical possibility to the spectator to erase the drawings and start again.
Diptyque réalisé pendant une résidence à la Escuela de Artes Plasticas de San Juan (Porto Rico). Ces deux dessins agissent comme une esquisse imparfaite du tableau original El pan nuestro de cada día, dans lequel le personnage du tableau célèbre de l'histoire de l'art porto-ricaine est remplacé par des avatars de la culture américaine. Le crayon est choisi au lieu de la peinture à l'huile, laissant la possibilité hypothétique au spectateur d'effacer et de recommencer.
